CATALYST FOR SYNTHESIZING HYDROCARBONS, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING HYDROCARBONS BY USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst for converting a gas, which is generated at a gasification step of biomass and based on hydrogen and carbon monoxide, into gaseous or liquid hydrocarbons which are used easily at a production site and to provide a method for manufacturing the catalyst and a method for producing hydrocarbons by using the catalyst.

SOLUTION: The catalyst for synthesizing hydrocarbons is obtained by incorporating a cobalt metal or a cobalt compound of 5-30 mass% of the total mass of the catalyst in terms of the cobalt metal in a carrier which consists of porous silica or is obtained by incorporating at least one metal, which is selected from group III metals and lanthanide-group metals in the periodic table, or its oxide of 0.3-30 mass% of the total mass of the catalyst in terms of the metal.
