<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for performing durable and secure download of streaming data, in particular, copyrighted streaming data. <P>SOLUTION: In a procedure of delivering streaming media, a client request a medium from an order server first. The order server authenticates the client and sends a ticket to the client. Following this, the client sends the ticket to a streaming server. The streaming server checks the ticket for validity and if found valid, encrypts the streaming data using a standardized real-time protocol such as the SRTP, and transmits the encrypted data to the client. The client receives and decrypts the data.
