<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically delete font data and graphic data for use in the issue of gold notes and the like from a printer after a lapse of a predetermined time. <P>SOLUTION: The registration data such as the font data and the graphic data for use in the printing of gold notes and the like are downloaded together with data indicating a storage period (a period of validity) from a host computer 200 and stored in a flash memory 105.
