<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drive an engine by a running motor even when residual capacity of respective secondary batteries is reduced, in a hybrid vehicle having the plurality of secondary batteries. <P>SOLUTION: Dischargeable power Pref11<SP>*</SP>, Pref21<SP>*</SP>of each the secondary battery and engine start required power Pr<SP>*</SP>necessary when starting the engine are compared. When the dischargeable power of each the secondary battery is smaller than the engine start required power Pr<SP>*</SP>, the dischargeable power Pref11<SP>*</SP>of the first secondary battery and the dischargeable power Pref22<SP>*</SP>of the second secondary battery are compared, charging is performed to the second secondary battery having large residual capacity from the first secondary battery having small residual capacity until the dischargeable power of the second secondary battery becomes larger than the engine start required power Pr<SP>*</SP>by the smaller one of Pref11<SP>*</SP>and Pref22<SP>*</SP>, the first secondary battery is cut off from a power supply system, and engine-starting power is supplied by only the second secondary battery. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
