PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlight device which can mount an electric connector for a fluorescent tube on a support plate with superior positioning accuracy. SOLUTION: A first housing 14 of a first electric connector 11 comprises a main body 20 arranged on a support plate 8. A first insertion convex part 22 protruding from the body 20 is inserted into a support hole 21 of the support plate 8. A peripheral face of the first insertion convex part 22 includes: a curved face part 50 having a busbar along an insertion direction of the insertion convex part 22; and a flat part 51 that is in parallel with the insertion direction. An inner peripheral face of the support hole 8 includes: a curved face part 21a provided along the curved face part 50; and a flat part 21b provided along the flat part 51.
