PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head cap or the like by which cap assemblies can be easily replaced and leakage of functional liquid and air leak can be surely prevented. SOLUTION: A head cap is equipped with: a cap body 223 which is constituted of the cap assembly 221 being in close contact with a functional liquid droplet discharging head, an assembly base 222 for supporting the cap assembly 221 and a mounting screw 242 for fixing the cap assembly 221 to the assembly base 222; and a cap holder 224 for holding the cap body 223. The cap assembly 221 has an absorbing material holder 231, a functional liquid absorbing material 232, a sealing member 234 which is in close contact with the functional liquid droplet discharging head, a frame-shaped pressing member 235 and a fastening screw 236 which fastens the frame-shaped pressing member 235 to the absorbing material holder 231. The fastening screw 236 penetrates the absorbing material holder 231 from its rear side and is screwed to the frame-shaped pressing member 235. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
