WINDSHIELD AND INTERLAYER FOR WINDSHIELD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a windshield which can have a reduced thickness difference in spite of its two unparallel principal planes, has an optical strain not or hardly recognizable by the driver and to provide an interlayer suitable for manufacturing such windshield. SOLUTION: The interlayer 15 of the windshield 10 comprises a wedge part 151 with a thickness gradually decreasing in the direction from the upper edge side of the windshield 10 to its lower edge side and a first side part 153 which is a part on the side lower than the wedge part 151 and has a uniform thickness. The width W of the first side part 153 concerning the height direction HL of the windshield 10 is determined so that the whole of a test region B described in the annexed document of JIS R3212 may be included in that area of the windshield which coincides by the wedge part 151.
