PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injection apparatus allowing the reduction of power consumption and deterioration of equipment. SOLUTION: In a method of controlling an injection apparatus 1 equipped with a raw material supplying unit 2 which has shutters 15 and 16 and supplies a molding raw material 17 into a heating cylinder 4 in a reduced-pressure atmosphere, the operation or the stop of the vacuum pump 29 sucking water and gas produced during plasticizing the molding raw material 17 in the heating cylinder 4 is made to be freely selective according to the status of plasticization of the molding raw material 17, and when the vacuum pump 29 is stopped, the controlling unit 33 opens the shutters 15 and 16 fully and controls a raw material charging unit 11 for the raw material 17 so that the top of the molding raw material 17 charged into and deposited in the raw material supplying unit 2 is below the fully opened shutter 15 or 16.
