PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet cutting device having simple construction for avoiding the residence of cut sheet pieces on a blade receiving member by forming the blade receiving member of two conductive and non-conductive materials. SOLUTION: The sheet cutting device comprises a sheet holding means for holding sheets on a predetermined cutting position, a cutting blade arranged on the cutting position and having a blade edge in a flat shape, the blade receiving member opposed to the cutting blade across the sheets, and a driving means for reciprocating the cutting blade between a stand-by position and the cutting position. The blade receiving member has a sheet center receiving face for supporting central portions of the sheets on the cutting position, a blade receiving face for abutting on the blade edge of the cutting blade, and a cut edge receiving face for supporting cut-off portions of the sheet edges. The cut edge receiving face and/or the sheet center receiving face is formed of a conductive material, and the blade receiving face is formed of a non-conductive material.
