<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hinged lid structure having a function of preventing the tamper evience. <P>SOLUTION: A lid structure includes a rim with an attached cover member. The lid structure also includes a mounting structure for use in mounting the lid structure to a food container. A tamper evidence latch is provided to releasably secure the rim having a closed configuration overlying an open end of the food container.
