<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater of high reliability capable of storing hot water of required temperature at all times, so that the hot water can be stably supplied to a hot water supply load at all times. <P>SOLUTION: The water is supplied to a close-type tank 43, the water in the close-type tank 43 is heated by each heat source machine 1 to prepare hot water, the hot water is temporarily stored in the close-type tank 43, and the hot water in the close-type tank 43 is supplied and stored in an open-type tank 5.
