摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a failure detector for the brushless exciting circuit of a synchronous machine that makes it possible to easily detect any failure in an element of a rotary rectification unit and does not require a high detection accuracy of a detector incorporated into a rotary part and can be achieved with simple circuitry. <P>SOLUTION: The brushless exciting circuit of a synchronous machine including an alternating-current exciter and a rotary rectifier is provided with: a current sensor circuit that detects the current of a power generating coil of the alternating-current exciter as a rotary part; a current sensor circuit that detects a rectification current of one phase in the rectifier of the three-phase full-wave rectification circuit of the rotary rectifier; a current sensor circuit that detects the direct current of a field coil; a determination circuit that is inputted with output signals from the individual current sensor circuits and determines normality or abnormality through a fault determination circuit; and a lighting circuit that is inputted with the results of determination by the determination circuit and turns on/off a pilot lamp. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
