<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress consumption of an developing agent, while surely correcting color shifts. <P>SOLUTION: Whenever color shift correction processing succeeds continuously a plurality of times, a CPU40 reduces the density D of toner images for correction TMn<SB>Y</SB>, TMn<SB>C</SB>, TMn<SB>M</SB>and TMn<SB>K</SB>by one stage, thereby reducing the toner amount required for forming the toner images for correction TMn<SB>Y</SB>, TMn<SB>C</SB>, TMn<SB>M</SB>and TMn<SB>K</SB>. In other words, conventionally, the toner images for correction TMn<SB>Y</SB>, TMn<SB>C</SB>, TMn<SB>M</SB>and TMn<SB>K</SB>are always formed at the density D of the initial value (=1.0), and in the image forming method (image forming apparatus), the density of the toner images for correction TMn<SB>Y</SB>, TMn<SB>C</SB>, TMn<SB>M</SB>and TMn<SB>K</SB>is made smaller (for example, 0.7) than the initial value, while the conditions of sure success of the color shift correction processing are satisfied, thereby the consumption of the toner is suppressed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
