PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an explosion-proof network camera capable of transmitting image data taken in a dangerous area in an oil refinery and a photochemical plant, etc. by a wireless LAN, and an image transmission system in the dangerous area utilizing such an explosion-proof network camera. SOLUTION: The network camera 20 is stored in a housing 10 having a dome-like storage part 13, which has pressure-proof and explosion proof structure and formed by a transparent pressure-proof material, and a camera module 21 of the network camera 20 is located in a dome-like storage part 21.
