PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knitted fabric comfortable to wear and free from sticking feeling and stuffing feeling in sweating. SOLUTION: The circular knitted fabric is a single circular knitted fabric containing a water-absorbing extensible yarn and an elastic yarn and having a knitted course containing the elastic yarn adjacent to the course containing the water-absorbing extensible yarn. The course containing the water-absorbing extensible yarn is preferably knitted between the courses containing the elastic yarn.
