PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the function of housing a writing instrument in a pocket book by a simple method and a structure, to enable a favorite writing instrument of which the thickness is not limited to be housed, to make the writing instrument hardly slip off at the time of carrying, and to suppress the raise of the price resulting from the provision of those functions. SOLUTION: This pocket book consists of a cover 1, a plurality of sheets of recording paper 2 which are stacked, a rear cover 3, and a fastener 4 which binds them. Then, one end section of the rear cover 3 is extended longer than the end sections of the recording papers 2, and a writing instrument housing section 5 is installed. A notched section 6 is installed on one end section in the longitudinal direction of the writing instrument housing section 5. Then, a non slip hole 7 is installed at a position which is hit by a non slip protuberance being installed on the clip section of the writing instrument for the writing instrument housing section in order to prevent the writing instrument from slipping off.
