PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive control method and device capable of easily and quickly carrying out the adjusting operation of rotary phases. SOLUTION: A printer body is driven by a driving motor and a paper feeding machine is driven by a single motor (a motor 62 of a feeder). The motors of the printer body and the feeder are synchronously rotated and the rotary phase of the driving motor of the feeder relative to the rotary phase of the printer body is adjusted. Thereby, the rotary phases can be adjusted without stopping the printer. Further, the rotary phase of the driving motor of the feeder may be automatically adjusted according to the printing condition such as the time for beginning to print, the speed of the printer, the sheet size of paper, the paper thickness, the paper quality. Furthermore, the rotary phase of the printer body relative to the rotary phase of the driving motor of the feeder may be adjusted. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
