PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preform injection molding apparatus which enables high-speed opening and closing, by separating the driving sources for mold opening/closing and mold clamping, while eliminating the need of causing the base at the uppermost position to ascend and descend by one mold switching stroke in every molding cycle. SOLUTION: The preform injection molding apparatus includes an upper clamping board 20, a movable board 40, a lower base 10 and a lower clamping board 30, in order from the upper part. The upper clamping board 20 and the lower clamping board 30 are connected with two or more clamp shafts so as to ascend and/or descend together. A switch driving means 60 causes the movable board 40 to ascend and/or descend to the mold opening position and/or the mold closing position. A clamping means 70 causes the clamp shafts and the upper clamp board 20 to ascend and/or descend with the lower clamping board 30 by causing the lower clamping board 30 to ascend and/or descend, and the descending position of the upper clamping board 20 is set as the clamping position. Pressure receiving members 80 and 90 transmit a clamping force to the movable board 40 and receive the clamping force when the upper clamping board 20 is located at the clamping position.
