PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work machining method and device for suitably securing the accuracy of shaping a through-hole portion machined in a preceding process even when a work as a relatively thin light alloy forged or cast product is deformed after machined. SOLUTION: In the work machining method or device, a through-hole 13 is machined in the work 1 as the relatively light alloy forged or cast product in a first process and the work surface around the through-hole 13 is machined in a second process. A tool deflection amount is adjusted in the first process so that the circularity of the through-hole 13 to be deformed in the second process falls within an allowable range.
