#CMT# #/CMT# The method involves allowing liquid heat transfer medium to exchange temporary warm with a cabin heat exchanger (4), a vehicle cooler (8). A coolant throughput is reduced to a minimum valve favorable for cooling or heating by an internal combustion engine (1) in a preset direction. A mini bypass branch (6c) is allowed to flow temporarily into a flow path from warm points at a coolant inlet (7e) during a warm-up condition and in phase with large flow stagnancy. An inflowing cold coolant is obstructed at a removal point (6cst) of the branch, during fluctuations of coolant pressures. #CMT# : #/CMT# Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for operating a cooling and heating system for an internal combustion engine in a motor vehicle (2) a cooling and heating system for an internal combustion engine, comprising a cooling valve. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Method for operating a cooling and heating system (claimed) for an internal combustion engine in a motor vehicle i.e. passenger car. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The coolant partial flow is allowed to flow temporarily into the flow path from the warm points at the coolant inlet during the warm-up condition and in phase with large flow stagnancy, and the inflowing cold coolant is obstructed at the removal point of the flow during fluctuations of coolant pressures, thus enabling the engine to warm-up quickly and providing a smoother transition between different cooling stages, while providing fuel saving potentials. The method permits a cooling and heating system to be used for the internal combustion engine with a continuously adjustable main engine coolant pump. #CMT#DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS : #/CMT# The drawing shows a schematic block diagram illustrating an arrangement of an engine and a vehicle cooling system. 1 : Internal combustion engine 4 : Cabin heat exchanger 6c : Mini bypass branch 6cst : Removal point 7e : Coolant inlet 8 : Vehicle cooler. |
