A method of manufacturing optically active amide is provided to obtain a product with high yield and high purity in the presence of an inorganic catalyst and to save the costs by not using an expensive biochemistry catalyst. A method of manufacturing optically active amide comprise (a) a step for preparing (S)-(+)-2,2-dimethylcyclopropane ester by performing the esterification of a 2,2-dimethylcyclopropane carboxylic acid of the following chemical formula 2 and chiral reagent in the presence of K2CO3 as an inorganic catalyst; (b) a step for preparing (S)-(+)-2,2-dimethylcyclopropane carboxylic acid by hydrolyzing the (S)-(+)-2,2-dimethylcyclopropane ester; and (c) a step for preparing (S)-(+)-2,2-dimethylcyclopropane carboxamide of the chemical formula 1 through the chlorination and ammonia addition reaction of the (S)-(+)-2,2-dimethylcyclopropane carboxylic acid.
