<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein mutually contradictory print settings are performed during change of print settings. <P>SOLUTION: It is judged whether a set value of an item to be displayed on a print setting screen is changed (S9). When it is judged that the set value is changed, and when a certain item value is changed, link information including the items and their values to be changed in response to the changed item value and the items and their values that must not be set is acquired (S10 and S11).
