<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DC component detection circuit, capable of detecting a DC component of a cable run in terms of analog quantity for which there is no need for a dedicated power supply. <P>SOLUTION: The DC component detection circuit includes a resistor element 2 interposed, in series with a cable run 1; and first and second integrators 3 and 4 for extracting a DC component of a cable-run current from the amount of voltage drop of the resistor element 2. The first integrator 3 is formed, based on a differential amplifying circuit that receives the voltage at both ends of the resistor element 2 as input signal.
