PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such a method for producing a rigid polyurethane foam that the storage time of a polyester polyol premix can be made longer, the situation of the premix's spraying can be regulated on-site according to temperature change, thus enabling the quality stability of the final product to be accomplished. SOLUTION: The method for producing the rigid polyurethane foam comprises mixing together an isocyanate component, a polyol component and a reaction-accelerating catalyst as a third component, followed by expanding the resultant premix. In this method, the catalyst as the third component is mixed into the polyol component in the line just before mixing and expanding the isocyanate component and the polyol component.
