PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sequin feeding apparatus which can perform the automatic adjustment of a feeding amount of a sequin tape at a high precision by detecting the actual size of the sequin. SOLUTION: This sequin feeding apparatus 1 is equipped with a feeding mechanism 24, an optical sensor mechanism 74 which detects the size of the sequin S, and a controller. In this case, the feeding mechanism 24 feeds the sequin tape T on which sequins S are serially connected to the sewing position P of a sewing machine. The controller controls the stepping motor 39 of the feeding mechanism 24 conforming to the output of the optical sensor mechanism 74. On the optical sensor mechanism 74, a light source which irradiates the tape T with light, and a plurality of light receiving sensors which output detection signals by sensing the light which has passed through the sewing hole H of the sequin S are installed. Each light receiving sensor is respectively constituted of a plurality of light receiving elements, and all light receiving elements are arranged in the feeding direction of the tape T.
