PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic film which constitutes a cathode of an organic electroluminescent element used for a display of various kinds of electronic equipment and information equipment. SOLUTION: This is a metallic film having a composition that contains Ba:30-70 wt.% and furthermore, oxygen:0.05-1 wt.%, and the balance consisting of aluminum and inevitable impurities.
