PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device or the like having a high imaging quality and a high reliability. SOLUTION: The image forming device is provided with: a rear plate 1 having a plurality of electron emitting elements 8; and a face plate 2 arranged opposed to the rear plate 1. The face plate 2 has a plurality of light-emitter films 10 which emit light by irradiation of electrons and black members 12 which separate mutually each of the plurality of light-emitter films 10. The plurality of light-emitter films 10 are arranged so that the adjoining light-emitter films 10 emit light of mutually different colors.
