PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability of an engagement detection function of a connector. SOLUTION: A detecting member 60 is movably incorporated on a lock arm 12 of a housing 10 between a waiting position and a detection position. When the detecting member 60 is engaged regularly with the mating housing 90, movement from the waiting position to the detection position is permitted, and when the housing 10 is in a half-engagement state with the mating housing 90, movement to the detection position is restricted. A window 69 is installed on the detecting member 60. At the waiting position, the detecting main body 64 of the detecting member 60 is visible from the window 69, and at the waiting position, an upper plate 24 of the lock arm 12 is visible.
