PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braking device allowing improvement of braking operation feeling of a driver, while obtaining desired braking force by a small amount of brake manipulated variable and operation force. SOLUTION: This braking device supplies brake fluid to a wheel cylinder 5 from a master cylinder 3 and a booster (booster cylinder 4) according to the brake manipulated variable (lever stroke XL) of the driver. The braking device has a control means (ECU) for correcting target brake fluid amount (standard fluid amount Qs) set based on the brake manipulated variable from variation of an actual wheel cylinder pressure corresponding value (brake fluid pressure Pb) based on displacement (stroke Xb) of the booster piston 42, setting a target position (target stroke Xb*) of the booster piston 42 based on the target brake fluid amount (target fluid amount Q*) after the correction and controlling an actuator based on the set target position (the target stroke Xb*).
