PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring device for a gas combustor capable of surely diagnosing failure of a sensor control part. SOLUTION: This monitoring device has the sensor control part 13 outputting concentration output in response to detection output of a CO sensor 12 by detecting CO included in exhaust gas exhausted from the gas combustor 2 by the CO sensor 12, a control means 11 monitoring and controlling the gas combustor 2 based on the concentration output, a concentration output difference calculating means 11a calculating a difference between a maximum value and a minimum value of the detection output of the CO concentration detected for a predetermined time from just after ignition of the gas combustor 2 as a concentration output difference, a concentration output difference determining means 11a determining whether or not the concentration output difference calculated by the concentration output difference calculating means 11a is larger than a preset failure determining threshold value, and an abnormality determining means 11a determining as failure of the sensor control part 13 when the concentration output difference determining means 11a does not determine that the concentration output difference is larger than the failure determining threshold value.
