A cipher communication device in which the load on a processor for executing a protocol processing including cipher communication can be alleviated and the processing speed of the cipher communication can be improved in receiving a packet. A cipher communication device (100) comprises an IPsec packet identifying section (132) in which a cipher processing unit (130) analyzes the content of a packet to identify that the packet is a cipher packet in storing the packet and a decoding section (134), if the IPsec packet identifying section (132) judges the packet to be the cipher packet, acquiring the information required for the decoding from a cipher information storage section (133) to decode only the cipher portion. The cipher processing unit (130) eliminates the need to perform the processing of an IPsec protocol itself, thus enabling the cipher processing section (130) to be configured at high speed and at low cost. |
