The gauge (1) has an infrared radiation detector (2) to measure temperature of a measuring spot at an object to be measured. The detector has an optical arrangement (3) with optical elements (4) that direct a radiation signal sent from the object to a sensor e.g. image sensor, element (6) of the detector.
