PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the magnetic flux merging from a yoke magnet and the magnetic flux of a main magnetic pole magnet itself almost equal to allow much magnetic flux to flow in a specified quantity of magnet used, in a rotor of an AC generator for vehicles. SOLUTION: The rotor 3 of the AC generator 100 for vehicles includes main magnetic pole magnets 32 of the number of poles that are magnetized so as to alternately form NS poles in the radius direction, and yoke magnets 33 of the number of the poles that make magnetic fluxes flow from circumferential both sides of the main magnetic pole magnets 32, wherein the arc ratio between the main magnetic pole magnets 32 and the yoke magnets 33 is set to 2:1.
