PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm whether a fault is present in a subject, to improve reliability and to reduce power consumption. SOLUTION: An image transmission system includes a camera 22 and a mobile phone 24. The camera 22 includes an imaging section, a time measuring section, a recording section, a transmission section and a control section. The imaging section images a subject to produce image data of a subject 32. The recording section stores image data in accordance with a time at which the imaging section produces the image data. When a requirement is fulfilled, in accordance with control of the control section, the transmission section transmits to the mobile phone 24 image data of which the time of production is final, among image data stored in the recording section. The mobile phone 24 includes a receiving section, a recording section, a video display section and a control section. The receiving section receives image data from the camera 22.
