PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile machine which can suppress error transmission in facsimile transmission, and to provide a technology related thereto. SOLUTION: The facsimile machine is provided with an input means for receiving the facsimile number of a communication destination, a means for transmitting a search request regarding the number inputted as the facsimile number of a communication destination via a network, a means for receiving the results of search regarding the search request via a network, and a display control means which performs verification display (G2) regarding the input number, based on the results of search, prior to the facsimile communication operation based on the input number.
