PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve stable reproduction even if there is a change in a reproduction object. SOLUTION: After application to be executed requests a package management part to update merge management information, the package management part changes a file referenced from the newly specified merge management information to red-only attribute before updating the package information, and at a point at which digital stream reproduction stops due to a current title change, the package management part generates new package information in accordance with the newly specified merge management information, and performs update preparation of the package information by verifying validity of the merge management information newly specified by the application.
