PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation detection device configured to detect the various operations of a rotational member connected to a base material rotatably by using a piezoelectric element. SOLUTION: A rotational member 19 is provided with an operation knob 17 and a connection part 18 for connecting the operation knob 17 to a mounting face 6a of a printer main body 6 so as to be rotatable. Also, the connection part 18 is provided with two piezoelectric elements 21 and 22. Then, the two piezoelectric elements 21 and 22 are configured to output a signal for switching image data to be displayed at a display and a signal for selecting the image data displayed at the display to the control device of a printer according to the deformation of the connection part 18 when the operation knob 17 is operated.
