PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulse signal processor capable of reducing processing load, by adding processing to set an initial value during a period, when there is no input of a pulse signal, to dispense with the execution of a part of the processing during a period, when there is an input of the pulse signal. SOLUTION: The pulse signal processor 20 includes a capture interruption processing part calculating and storing pulse period, on the basis of first data captured from a free run timer 1331 at the input edge of the pulse signal and second data captured at the previous time from the free run timer 1311, and updating and storing the second data to the first data; and a stop determination processing part for resetting the pulse period, when the stoppage of the pulse signal for a prescribed stop determination time or longer is determined. The stop determination processing part, when the stop of the pulse signal is detected, updates the stored second data to third data that ascend from the stop detection time by a prescribed time which is shorter than one period of the free run timer 1331.
