<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor memory device capable of reducing a chip size and obtaining a stable operation. <P>SOLUTION: The semiconductor memory device has a plurality of arrayed mats 10 provided with a plurality of memory cells for storing charges as information and a plurality of power lines 30 whose one end is connected in common to an internal power supply for lowering or boosting a voltage supplied from an external power supply.
