PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that it is possible to stabilize working of a catalyst as a cowling does not receive travelling wind when the catalyst is arranged in the inside of the cowling but the cowling receives a heat effect such as deformation, discoloring, etc. by heat radiation from the catalyst and outer appearance is influenced when quality of a material of the cowling is partially changed. SOLUTION: This protection device of the cowling for a motorbike is furnished with the cowling extended to the rear while expanding in the left and right directions from a front surface of an engine arranged between a front wheel and a rear wheel, the neighborhood of an upstream end of an exhaust pipe to connect the engine and an exhaust air silencer to each other is made into a bulged part to support a support of the catalyst inside, opening is provided at a part to cover the outside of the bulged part of the cowling, the opening is covered with a cover body free to connect and disconnect and a heat insulation plate is adhered on an inner surface of the cover body.
