PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drying machine or a washing and drying machine capable of improving finishing of drying without enlarging the volume of a drum. SOLUTION: The washing and drying machine includes: a washing and dehydrating tub 3 for storing clothes; a motor for driving the washing and dehydrating tub; and a case body for supporting the washing and dehydrating tub, and then, performs a washing operation and a drying operation by rotating the rotary drum by the motor. The washing and drying machine includes the step of moving the clothes in the rotary direction of the washing and dehydrating tub to be dropped by weight of the clothes during the drying operation. The washing and drying machine includes means for directly blowing the clothes.
