The invention relates to a measuring system for measuring the density of a flowing, compressible medium. The measuring system comprises a temperature sensor and a pressure sensor for measuring the local temperature and the local pressure, respectively, of the medium. An electronic measuring unit calculates the density of the medium based on the measured values of temperature, pressure, and a compensation factor (K). Said compensation factor (K) levels out a local variability of the temperature, the pressure or the Reynolds number of the flowing medium and can be determined using the specific thermal capacity of the medium. |
