<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indoor unit for an air conditioner, reducing labor in detaching a drain pan. <P>SOLUTION: This indoor unit 10 for the air conditioner, which is installed on a ceiling of an air-conditioned room, includes: a casing 11 hung and supported on a fixed body; a drain pan 30 for catching drain dripping from a heat exchanger 13; a decorative panel 20 having an inlet 21 and a blow-off port 22; and a connecting means 50 connecting the drain pan 30 to the casing 11 and the decorative panel 20, wherein the connecting means can take at least two states: a first state of connecting the drain pan 30 to the casing 11 without connecting to the decorative panel 20; and a second state of connecting the drain pan 30 to the decorative panel 20 without connecting to the casing 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
