<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a low-priced color printer wherein the color correcting processing (calibration processing) by turn on of a power source is necessary each time of turning on the power source of the printer and wherein it takes time to wait for output of printing until the color correcting processing is concluded even in the case of needing to immediately print out data from a host computer after turning on the power source of the printer. <P>SOLUTION: In this printing system, surrounding elements of the printer such as the power source cut time, machine-inside temperature, humidity and moisture before cutting the power source and after turning on the power source are compared with each other based on values thereof. In the case wherein a determination that calibration is unnecessary is done as a result of the comparison, the color correcting processing (calibration) is not performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
