<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new antigenic protein derived from the outer membrane of Haemophilus influenzae. <P>SOLUTION: The new protein derived from the outer membrane of Haemophilus influenzae is provided, which is 26 kDa in molecular weight determined by SDS-PAGE. A DNA sequence encoding such a protein, a vaccine comprising the protein and a method for immunizing a subject against Haemophilus influenzae infection are also provided, respectively. Besides, methods for the prophylaxis or treatment of respiratory tract infections or otitis media, as well as methods for the detection of Haemophilus influenzae, and kits for use in such methods are also provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
