<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device and an image forming apparatus capable of restraining nonuniform inner pressure of recovery conveyance passages thereby restraining toner scattering. <P>SOLUTION: An upstream space in the recovery conveyance passage 7 in the direction of developer conveyance is filled with a filling member, and the upstream cross-sectional area of the recovery conveyance passage 7 in the direction of the developer conveyance is consequently made smaller than the upstream area of that, thereby restraining the proportion of the downstream empty space in the recovery conveyance passage 7 from becoming smaller than that of the upstream empty space. This prevents the downstream inner pressure of the recovery conveyance passage from becoming higher than the upstream inner pressure thereof. Consequently, an airflow blowing into a gap between a developing roller 5 and case is prevented from flowing toward the upstream side of the recovery conveyance passage 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
