PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image stabilizing device which can avert the occurrence of malfunctions due to image stabilization, when high-frequency vibration is applied to an imaging device. SOLUTION: The image stabilizing device provided with an angular speed sensor for detecting shaking applied to an imaging device, and a means performing image stabilizing, based on the output signal from the angular speed sensor is further provided with a filter for extracting the frequency components that exceed a predetermined first frequency of the output signal of the angular speed sensor; and a means for stopping the image shake correction operation of the image stabilizing means, when the output signal from the filter exceeds a predetermined threshold.
