PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a thermoelectric conversion element for improving cooling efficiency and power generation efficiency by the bonding technique of a thermoelectric material and a metal electrode. SOLUTION: When bonding the metal electrode to the thermoelectric material, by locally dissolving a bonding metal interposed at a part where the thermoelectric material and the metal electrode are in contact or between them by a high frequency device, then eliminating the projections and recesses of a bonding interface by compressing it, and simultaneously suppressing the rise of electric resistance on the interface by thinning a diffusion layer on the interface as much as possible, the cooling efficiency and power generation efficiency of the thermoelectric conversion element for cooling and for power generation are remarkably improved.
