PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost electromagnetic wave shield material which has electromagnetic wave shieldability and near infrared absorptivity, and is free of faults such as wire breaking, a shape defect, and low contactness due to a transfer defect. SOLUTION: The electromagnetic wave shield material has a conductive layer 3 made of a conductive material composition formed in a predetermined pattern on a primer layer 2 formed on a transparent base material 1; and the thickness TA of a part A of the primer layer 2 where the conductive layer 3 is formed is larger than the thickness TB of a part B where the conductive layer 3 is not formed, and the primer layer 2 contains a near infrared absorptive material absorbing near infrared wavelengths in a range of 800 to 1,100 nm. The electromagnetic wave shield material is obtained by pressing the primer layer in a fluidity holding state before hardening and a shaping plate surface of the predetermined pattern charged with the conductive material composition against each other so that the primer layer and conductive material composition come into contact with each other without any gap, and hardening the primer layer or hardening the primer layer and conductive material composition at the same time.
