PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a step panel coupling structure capable of achieving weight reduction by reducing a panel area, securing the reliability of water tightness and sound insulation properties, improving a degree of the design of a step height and a floor height, and securing both a foot space and a cross-sectional area of an outrigger. SOLUTION: The step panel coupling structure is formed with a closed cross section in a coupling portion of a first outrigger 30 and a step panel 50 by being surrounded by a step panel Z-shaped portion Z3 having an upper portion 52a, a step panel standing wall 52b and a lower end flange 52c and formed approximately in a Z shape, and an outrigger Z-shaped portion Z1 having a front-side flange 33a, a standing wall 31, a bottom plate 35, a low wall 32a and a rear-side flange 34c and formed approximately in a Z shape.
